Luxury Cruise ship the Queen Victoria crashed this week while trying to berth in Grand Harbour, Valletta, leaving a 20 foot dent in the rear of the ship.
It happened while the ship was reversing…we understand that the captain is male…

Malta has been placed 21st of over 200 countries in a survey by Jane’s Intelligence Services Company – well known in the UK for their defence analysis.
This survey was about stability and wealth, and as well as being in the top ten per cent of all countries, Malta beat Japan, France, Canada and the U.S.

2007 was officially the best year for holidays in Malta for some six years, with a ten per cent increase in tourists arriving on the island, boosting the Malta hotels and holiday industry. Over 1.1 million people flew to Malta from the UK last year, with the most popular route being London’s Gatwick to Malta, followed by Manchester.
